LAS VEGAS – Resorts World Las Vegas, one of the newer additions to the famed Las Vegas Strip, is experiencing a significant change in its leadership.
President and COO Scott Sibella has left the company, effective immediately, according to a spokesperson for the resort.
This decision follows the revelation that Mr. Sibella had violated company policies and the terms of his employment.
In his place, Peter LaVoie, formerly the company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will assume the role of president.
This transition comes less than two years and three months after the resort’s grand opening, which had already faced several delays.
Scott Sibella, prior to his tenure at Resorts World, held the position of President and COO at MGM Grand.
