LAS VEGAS – Software forensics expert Bob Zeidman has been awarded $5 million after disproving data presented by My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell during a 2021 cyber symposium in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Lindell had claimed the data showed election fraud in the 2020 US presidential election and issued the “Prove Mike Wrong Challenge” with a prize for anyone who could disprove the data. Zeidman was one of the attendees and challenged Lindell’s data, stating that it was not legitimate. The arbitration panel ruled in Zeidman’s favor, stating that the data presented by Lindell was not valid data from the November 2020 election.
Zeidman, a lifelong conservative who voted for Donald Trump in 2020, said he didn’t expect to receive the $5 million as Lindell was facing lawsuits from Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic and would most likely declare bankruptcy. He also said that he did not pursue the challenge for the money but to seek the truth. Zeidman’s career has been dedicated to finding the truth, even when it wasn’t what he wanted it to be. He told CNN that data analysis in such a challenge normally took months, but he was able to show that the data was fake in just a few hours.
Zeidman said that he didn’t need the money and that his career was going well. He is currently focused on poker and runs a popular poker blog. Should he receive the money, he said he would donate it to a voter integrity project. Some Republicans disapproved of his move, but Zeidman said that most Republicans congratulated him once they understood why he did it.
