A 17-year-old Las Vegas resident, Joshua Robles, has been indicted on eight terrorism-related charges, including accusations of attempting to carry out a “lone wolf” ISIS terror operation in the city.
Prosecutors allege that Robles collected explosive materials with the intention of targeting locations within Clark County and possessed a floor plan map of Chaparral High School, suggesting a possible attack on the school.
The indictment, handed down by a Grand Jury on Friday, further states that Robles declared his allegiance to ISIS in an online chat room, expressing his intent to conduct attacks against “enemies of Allah” in Las Vegas.
Robles is also accused of gathering components for the construction of an improvised explosive device (IED).
The alleged crimes took place between July 2022 and November 2023. Following the indictment, an arrest warrant with a $1 million bail has been issued for Robles.
