While the Victim Was Sitting in His Vehicle, He Was Shot and Killed
LAS VEGAS – On Thursday night in northeast Las Vegas, a man was fatally shot while sitting in his car, according to police.
Lt. Jason Johansson of the Metropolitan Police Department stated that the incident occurred at 5:50 p.m. on the 1200 block of North Christy Lane, close to East Washington Avenue.
While investigating the alleged gunshot, police discovered a man in his 30s seated inside a white Dodge Charger who had been shot many times. At University Medical Center, where he was brought, the man passed away.
The victim’s vehicle was parked in front of his friend’s house. A man dressed in black was strolling along the sidewalk across the street as he sat in his automobile. According to Johansson, the person across the street raced to the Dodge and fired multiple shots at the vehicle.
Johansson added, “I think it’s too early to determine whether it’s random or not at this moment in our inquiry.” If we keep looking into it, do you think we’ll have a clearer picture in a couple of hours? I do.”
According to Johansson, the shooter managed to escape the area. He is a man in his twenties, by all accounts, but the cops have no idea who he is.
Between Washington and East Monroe Avenue, Christy Lane is now closed.
