RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – On Saturday, December 10, the University of Nevada, Reno will host winter commencements at the Lawlor Events Center for August and December 2022 graduates.
To better accommodate graduates and their families, UNR is hosting two separate graduation ceremonies. Guests are not needed to purchase tickets; however, seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
The festivities begin at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. where around 2,000 degrees will be conferred
Graduates from the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Natural Resources, the College of Engineering, the School of Medicine, the Orvis School of Nursing, the School of Public Health, the College of Science, and the School of Social Work will be honored in the morning ceremony.
Graduates from the College of Business, College of Education & Human Development, Donald W. Reynolds School of Journalism, and College of Liberal Arts will be honored in the afternoon ceremony.
Guests are urged not to bring any objects that cannot be searched into Lawlor, with the exception of wrapped presents. Glass and reusable bottles, as well as coffee cups, will not be permitted within the venue; only disposable, sealed plastic water bottles will be permitted. Balloons are also not permitted.
The oldest graduate this year is 73 years old, while the youngest is 17 years old.
