NEVADA – This week, the Washoe County Health District told people to stay away from food from another local business because the food has not been inspected.
The district is telling people who bought or ate baked goods from Happy Tiers Bakery in Incline Village to be careful about their health. “The bakery products were made and sold to people in the surrounding areas without being inspected,” officials said.
Items bought between October 1, 2022 and January 24, 2023 include wedding cakes, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and more.
Officials say no one has gotten sick, but “the products are thought to be tampered with because they were made without inspection and food safety protocols could not be checked.”
“The products were made in a place nobody knew about, and the store didn’t have a permit to bake or make any food products.”
