NEVADA – A man and his dog have been found safe and sound after their truck got stuck in the snow near Peavine Peak on Monday morning. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team, Incident Management Team, and Specialized Vehicles Unit were quick to respond to the situation.
Deputies reported that the SAR, IMT, and SVU arrived at the scene with a Pisten Bully snowplow and side by sides. After a thorough search, the man and his dog were located and safely escorted out of the area.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office has not released any further details about the man or his dog, but they are grateful that the rescue mission was successful.
