NEVADA – Over the weekend, a crash on Interstate 80 in Lyon County killed a man. Nevada State Police say it happened around 6 a.m. on Sunday on eastbound Interstate 80, about 5 miles from the East Fernley exit. Investigators say that a white Ford F-150 pickup truck went off the road and into the middle dirt median. Why it did this is unknown. The driver then turned back toward the road, which caused the truck to spin back across the highway and into the dirt shoulder on the right side before flipping over.
The driver, who was later found to be 22-year-old Leo Alexander Camarena Nunez, was thrown out of the car and later died from his injuries. NSP says that Nunez was not wearing a seatbelt.
