More rain and cold weather are expected for northern Nevada on Wednesday

NEVADA – More rain and cold weather are anticipated for much of northern Nevada on Wednesday after significant rain in the Sierra and a 78-year-old record in Reno.
Wednesday’s highs in southern Nevada might reach 100 F (38 C) in Las Vegas.
Nearly an inch of rain fell in the northern Sierra on Tuesday, including.97 in Susanville, California, and.86 in Incline Village, Lake Tahoe.
West Reno got.5 inches. At Reno-Tahoe International Airport,.07 inch (.18 cm) beat the 1944 record of.05 (0.13 cm).
Reno and Tahoe’s highs on Wednesday were anticipated to be in the mid-60s F, 10 to 20 degrees below typical (teens C). The weather service predicted slushy snow on Mount Rose between Reno and Tahoe.
