RENO, Nev. (775 TIMES, NV Globe)-A teenage biker suffered major injuries after being struck by a vehicle in northwestern Reno on Monday morning, according to police.
The event occurred just after 7:30 a.m. nearby McQueen High School on 7th Street, approximately near Stargaze Way off Robb Drive.
According to police, the teenager was struck by a car while crossing the street.
The car continued driving but was eventually stopped, and the driver, 40-year-old Holli Lee McCarthy, was detained.
According to police, the biker received life-threatening injuries and was taken into Renown Regional Medical Center.
A section of 7th Street is still restricted due to the investigation.
The incident will be investigate by the Major Accident Investigation
