RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – The Northern Nevada Confederate of Clubs has staged the Reno Toy Run every Christmas since 1980.
Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, Children’s Cabinet, Eagle Valley Children’s Home, Kids & Horses Therapeutic Riding Center, Ronald McDonald House, Tahoe Family Solutions, VFW, Veteran’s Guest House, Sally Conforte Memorial Turkey Giveaway, and Muscular Dystrophy Association Kid’s Camp will benefit from this year’s donations.
Members of the Northern Nevada Confederate of Clubs, including President Troy Regas and General Counsel Jesse Kalter, Esq., visited by Morning Break to discuss how the community can help their organization offer hope to families around the area.
Reno’s longest-running and largest motorcycle community event is the Reno Toy Run. This year, the club intends to raise $100,000, and as of Monday, they were only $10,000 short.
The Northern Nevada Confederation of Motorcycle Clubs has 50+ member clubs as well as independent members. The NNVCOC is made up of conventional motorcycle clubs, family clubs, Christian clubs, and sport bike clubs, and its riders are culturally and politically varied.
While practically every club holds charity rides throughout the year, they all get together to work toward the common goal of giving not just presents to children at Christmas – but also much-needed cash assistance that is required all year.
The group will ride through town as the official Reno Toy Run on Sunday, December 4. Participation in the procession is $25 and includes a t-shirt and dinner. They are available for purchase at Reno Harley-Davidson or from a COC club member.
