The Sparks Police Department Said There Was No Mass Casualty Incident
NEVADA – On Saturday afternoon, a citizen monitoring the police and fire scanner tweeted about a possible mass casualty event in the 200 block of Sawyer Way in Sparks.
According to the Sparks Police Department, there was no mass casualty occurrence.
According to police, three persons died from drug overdoses. The police are looking into whether it was fentanyl. All three were transported to the hospital in good condition.
According to authorities, the hazardous materials team was sent in to secure the site.
According to police, there is no danger to the public.
