Two Are Arrested During a Sex Offender Check in Carson City.

CARSON CITY – A news release says that on August 16, detectives from the Carson City Sheriff’s Office, the U.S. Marshall, and the Nevada Department of Parole and Probation checked to see if sex offenders were following their rules.
During the operation, 144 sex offenders were checked to make sure their registration was up to date, as is required by state law.
Two sexual offenders who weren’t registered as required were taken into custody.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office does random compliance checks on sexual offenders at least once a year, the release said. Through offenderwatch.com, members of the community can find out about registered sex offenders in Carson City and be notified about them.
