18 Arrested In Undercover Operation To Catch Online Predators
LAS VEGAS – According to Metro Police, authorities apprehended more than a dozen suspects in an undercover computer operation in which they posed as kids online.
Eighteen people were apprehended on December 1 and 2 for allegedly planning to meet up with the undercover officers online.
According to the release, those arrested include Ryan Maness, 29; Concepcion Burgos, 53; Brandon Parnell, 30; Anthony Napoles, 19; Missael Melo, 26; Mark Anico, 29; Norberto Colunga, 34; Miguel Perez-Solis, 30; Juan Diaz-Iniguez, 31; Chasen Whitton, 22; Ricardo Gurrola, 23; Perry Spencer, 34; Randolph Minnis, 26; Justin Book
According to authorities, the suspects were booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a variety of counts, including luring a kid with a computer to engage in sexual conduct and attempting sexual assault on a victim under the age of 14.
The sweep was carried out as part of a joint undercover internet operation by the Nevada Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force. According to the article, the endeavor also included Metro, Henderson, and North Las Vegas police, the FBI, Homeland Security, the US Air Force, and the Nevada Attorney General.
