A Truck Has Hit Four Vehicles on Interstate 15 in Las Vegas, Causing Traffic
LAS VEGAS – Tuesday afternoon, the North Las Vegas Fire Department responded to reports of a semi-truck that had impacted four cars and set fire on Interstate 15 after the driver apparently suffered a medical emergency.
The truck was headed south on Interstate 15 from Cheyenne Avenue when it crashed. As the semi came to a halt near the Interstate 515 exit, the incident occurred.
Firefighters from North Las Vegas and neighboring Las Vegas arrived on the scene at around 3:45 p.m. and extinguished the blaze before it spread to the semi’s trailer.
Nearby motorists stopped to help the semi’s driver out of the burning vehicle. As the fire department tweeted, the driver was brought to the emergency room at Valley Hospital Medical Center.
