German spent more than 20 years as a columnist and reporter for the Las Vegas Sun, where he covered government, labor, politics, courts, and organized crime. He then moved to the Review-Journal in 2010.
The executive editor of the newspaper, Glenn Cook, released a statement saying, “The Review-Journal family is devastated to lose Jeff. “He was the gold standard of the news business. It’s hard to imagine what Las Vegas would be like today without his many years of shining a bright light on dark places.”
The Review Journal claims that German covered everything from political scandals and the mass shooting on October 1 to organized crime and corrupt government officials.
