Clark County School District officials say more than 100 students have been struck by vehicles since the beginning of the current school year. The district released the updated numbers as part of ongoing safety reminders and public awareness efforts.
According to CCSD, the cases include incidents in school zones, crosswalks, and surrounding neighborhoods during arrival and dismissal hours. Officials reiterated that both drivers and pedestrians share responsibility for roadway safety, especially during peak school commute times.
The district continues to promote crosswalk use, traffic law compliance, and reduced speeds near campuses. Law enforcement agencies have increased patrols in certain high-risk areas in response to the rise in incidents.
Officials emphasized that even one incident is too many and urged the public to remain alert to help prevent further injuries.
