Deadly Shooting in Henderson Shopping Center Marks Second Incident in Six Months

A man was fatally shot in a Henderson shopping center parking lot on Friday night, marking the second deadly shooting at the location within six months.
Henderson Police responded to reports of a shooting shortly before 9 p.m. in the 500 block of Marks Street near Sunset Road. Investigators revealed that the incident stemmed from a confrontation between two drivers.
According to police, the confrontation began when one driver suspected the other of hitting his vehicle. A 55-year-old man exited his car, exposing a firearm in his waistband. The other driver, a 42-year-old man, also stepped out of his vehicle, armed, and subsequently discharged his firearm, striking the 55-year-old.
Despite efforts to save his life, the 55-year-old succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Authorities confirmed that the incident remains under investigation and have not released further details. The shooting adds to a troubling trend, as it is the second fatal event at the same shopping center within the past six months.
