Firefighters Contain Palm Tree Fire That Damaged Four Properties in North Las Vegas

Fire crews responded to a backyard fire in North Las Vegas on Wednesday after flames spread from a palm tree to multiple properties.
The fire was reported around 12:05 p.m. in the 3000 block of Judson Avenue, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Civic Center Drive, according to city officials. When the first unit arrived, firefighters found a palm tree burning in a backyard, with flames spreading into neighboring yards.
Authorities said four properties were affected, though damage was mostly contained to backyard areas. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
North Las Vegas Fire Department received assistance from Las Vegas Fire & Rescue and Clark County firefighters in bringing the fire under control.
