LVMPD Arrests 19-Year-Old in Connection With Street Takeover Shooting

Las Vegas police have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred during an alleged illegal street takeover earlier this month, authorities said.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, homicide detectives identified Joredyn Hubbard, 19, as a suspect in the shooting, which happened on November 8. Investigators said the incident occurred during a large gathering of vehicles and spectators, commonly referred to as a street takeover.
Police have not released extensive details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting, but confirmed that one person was killed during the incident. Detectives continued investigating the case in the days following the shooting before identifying Hubbard as a suspect.
Hubbard was taken into custody and is facing charges related to the fatal shooting. Additional information about court proceedings and potential charges has not yet been released.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to review evidence and interview witnesses.
