LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – The Southern Nevada Health District and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advocate masked up to weather the storm of COVID-19, RSV, and the flu.
According to doctors with the Southern Nevada Health District, certain localities in the state had already surpassed Omicron variant levels from the previous year.
The state of RSV passed the 2,000 threshold in November. It was 600 the previous year.
Flu hospitalizations also surpassed 200 cases, up from fewer than 15 in 2021.
According to health professionals, seniors over the age of 65 should be the most worried because they currently have the greatest death rate.
Doctors say the best approach to protect yourself is to wash your hands, wear a well-fitted mask, and stay home if you’re sick.
