LAS VEGAS — Nevada election authorities have announced the results of their regular voter roll maintenance ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. Officials say nearly 177,000 voter registrations were canceled or deemed inactive statewide, including a significant number in Clark County.
The process, overseen by the Nevada Secretary of State’s office, is part of standard preparation to ensure voter rolls remain accurate by removing registrations tied to inactive addresses or voters who have not participated in recent elections. Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar said the update is intended to streamline election administration and uphold the integrity of the voter database before ballots begin going out later this year.
Officials emphasize that individuals whose registrations were canceled may re-register if they still wish to participate in upcoming elections, and that the maintenance was conducted under federal and state legal guidelines.
