As Nevadans welcome the new year, five significant laws take effect, reflecting the state’s commitment to economic freedom, personal responsibility, and national security.
Firstly, the sales tax on diapers is now exempt, easing financial burdens on families and promoting economic freedom.
Secondly, Assembly Bill 259 mandates that employees with disabilities receive at least the state minimum wage, ensuring fair compensation and personal responsibility in the workforce.
Thirdly, Senate Bill 11 prohibits state agencies from purchasing drones from entities deemed adversaries by the U.S. Department of Defense, enhancing national security.
Fourthly, Senate Bill 423 allows courts to offer motorcycle safety courses instead of fines for unlicensed riders, promoting personal responsibility and public safety.
Lastly, Assembly Bill 208 establishes a program to provide structured family caregiving for Medicaid recipients with dementia, supporting personal responsibility in caregiving.
These laws underscore Nevada’s dedication to fostering economic freedom, personal responsibility, and national security.
