North Las Vegas Police Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Crash Near Owens Avenue

A pedestrian was struck and killed early Tuesday morning near Owens Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard, according to the North Las Vegas Police Department.
The incident occurred shortly before 5 a.m. when officers responded to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The driver remained on-site and cooperated with investigators.
Authorities said impairment or excessive speed have not been ruled out, though the investigation is ongoing. The area was temporarily closed to traffic as officers collected evidence and documented the crash.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name after next of kin are notified. Police are urging drivers and pedestrians to remain cautious, particularly during early morning hours when visibility is limited.
