A Las Vegas man accused of killing a Transportation Security Administration supervisor in a hit-and-run crash had consumed multiple alcoholic drinks before the incident, according to an arrest report released by police.
Investigators said the suspect admitted to drinking at least five beers and one mixed drink prior to the crash that killed the federal employee. The collision occurred earlier this year, and authorities allege the suspect fled the scene after striking the victim.
Police documents indicate officers later identified and arrested the suspect as part of the ongoing investigation. Additional details about the crash, including the exact timeline and circumstances leading up to the incident, were outlined in the arrest report.
The victim was identified as a TSA supervisor working in Las Vegas. Officials have not released further information regarding sentencing or court proceedings as the case moves through the judicial system.
The investigation remains ongoing.
