In the early hours of Monday, March 17, 2025, a severe head-on collision occurred on East Sahara Avenue, east of Pacific Summit Street, in Las Vegas. The incident involved a 2002 Toyota Camry, driven by a 20-year-old man, and a 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan SUV, operated by a 40-year-old man.
Preliminary investigations by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department indicate that the Toyota, traveling westbound with three teenage passengers, veered into the eastbound lane for reasons yet to be determined, resulting in a head-on collision with the Volkswagen.
All five individuals were transported to a nearby hospital. The Toyota’s driver and a 17-year-old front-seat passenger sustained life-threatening injuries. The Volkswagen’s driver and a 15-year-old passenger from the Toyota suffered serious injuries, while an 18-year-old passenger in the Toyota reported minor injuries.
Both drivers underwent evaluations for suspected impaired driving. The investigation remains ongoing.
