LAS VEGAS – After work on “Dropicana,” the major construction project to improve the I-15/Tropicana interchange, was done over the weekend, a part of Tropicana Avenue will be closed for five hours on Monday night.
NDOT says that from Dean Martin Drive to Las Vegas Boulevard near New York, New York, Tropicana will be closed in both directions from 11 p.m. Monday to 4 a.m. Tuesday.
During that time, the ramp from I-15 northbound to Tropicana Avenue will also be closed.
Details about a detour
Drivers should take Flamingo Road, Harmon Avenue, Hacienda Avenue, or Russell Road as detours.
The move is meant to fix the temporary Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI), which is there to keep traffic from getting too bad while construction is going on.
The repairs will take place overnight to make the DDI safer for drivers.
