A 15-year-old Utah girl has vanished, and her family fears she may have been lured by online predators. Alisa Petrov, a high school student from American Fork, was last seen on April 21, 2025, when she left school and boarded a train to Provo. Surveillance footage captured her exit in Provo, and witnesses report she asked strangers for help traveling to Las Vegas.
Alisa’s family is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to her safe return. Authorities believe she may have been attempting to meet individuals she encountered on social media platforms like Snapchat, TikTok, Discord, and Roblox. South Jordan Police have classified her as an endangered runaway and urge anyone with information to contact them immediately.
This case underscores the dangers of unsupervised internet use and the importance of parental involvement in children’s online activities. As digital platforms become increasingly integrated into daily life, it’s crucial for families to have open conversations about online safety and the potential risks of interacting with strangers.
