Village Pub at Harry Reid International Shuttered as 24-Hour Airport Strike Begins

Hospitality workers at Harry Reid International Airport went on strike Friday under the Culinary Workers Union, targeting the food outlet Village Pub in Terminal 3.
The 24-hour walkout began at 5:00 a.m. local time and affects staff employed by a disadvantaged-business-enterprise (DBE) operator at the airport. Union leaders said members voted unanimously on Nov. 12 to authorize the strike amid stalled contract negotiations.
According to the union, workers are demanding improved wages, better health-care benefits, and fairer employment conditions — citing multiple years without meaningful pay increases under current agreements.
With the strike currently active at Village Pub, travelers passing through Terminal 3 are asked to expect disruptions at that outlet. The union has also urged passengers to avoid patronizing Village Pub during the strike as a show of solidarity.
