Wife Claims Her Spouse Started a Tragic House Fire While Carrying a Firearm
LAS VEGAS – According to NLVFD, a deadly house fire is being investigated after a lady says her husband set fire to the house while carrying a gun.
NLVFD and Las Vegas Fire and Rescue responded to a complaint of a house fire at 2209 Keller Court, near Gowan Road and Clayton Street, at 10:04 a.m.
According to NLVFD, North Las Vegas police were already on the scene for a domestic situation in which a woman claimed her husband lit the house on fire and was brandishing a gun.
Police, according to officials, attempted to defuse the situation by contacting the assailant inside the house.
When the fire reached the roof of the house, fire crews rushed in to fight it from a safe distance and safeguard the nearby residences, according to the NLVFD.
Following the extinguishment of the fire, police investigated the first level of the house for the assailant, and a drone was dispatched to examine the second story.
The body of the assailant was discovered in the second story of the house. According to the NLVFD, detectives are awaiting the autopsy report in order to complete the investigation.
