Nevada State Police are investigating after a crash early Wednesday morning knocked out power at an intersection near the 215 Beltway and North Decatur Boulevard. Around 3:00 a.m., a vehicle reportedly struck a guardrail and then hit an electrical box, causing outages in the area. The driver fled on foot before officers arrived.
Officials with the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada said the westbound lanes of the northern 215 were closed and expected to remain closed until about 9:30 a.m. while repairs and cleanup proceeded. The authorities continue to seek the person responsible for the damage.
