LAS VEGAS- Makayla Adams, 21, was identified by her family as the woman who was allegedly stabbed to death by her ex-boyfriend Tuesday evening.
Adams’ parents discovered her when they returned home that evening; her daughter was also inside, but unharmed.
Michael Ricks, 24, was the man accused of the fatal stabbing. Following the incident, he fled to San Diego.
“She was my baby cousin she had her whole life to live,” Makayla’s cousin Krystal Adams said.
Krystal arrived at the home where her cousin Makayla was murdered on Tuesday night. It’s news she still refuses to believe is true.
“She left behind a little girl a family that cares about her so much this is not fair, she didn’t deserve this she was a beautiful person,” Krystal said.
Makayla’s friends and family will gather in front of Reed and McWilliams on Wednesday evening for a vigil in her honor.
Ricks will be extradited to Las Vegas to face an unsolved murder charge.
