
Woman Fatally Struck by Box Truck in Northeast Las Vegas

A 38-year-old woman died late Wednesday night after being struck by a box truck while crossing the street in the northeast Las Vegas valley, police confirmed.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred around 11:20 p.m. near the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Owens Avenue. Authorities said the woman was crossing outside a designated crosswalk at the time of the collision.
The driver of the box truck stayed at the scene and cooperated with police, including voluntarily undergoing a blood draw as part of the investigation.
The woman was taken to University Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead. Police report that this marks the 89th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas so far in 2025.
