NEVADA – The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners, which outlawed the sale – but not possession – of alcoholic beverages in the town of Alamo in 1985, will vote Tuesday on whether to remove the restriction.

Line items 9 and 10 on the agenda read, “For Possible Action: Public Hearing on an Ordinance to Repeal Lincoln County Code Section 4-1-9(D) to Allow the Sale of Alcoholic Beverages in the Town of Alamo,” followed by a vote on the action.

The Lincoln County code provision, modified Nov. 25, 1985, proclaimed it illegal to sell alcoholic drinks within the town limits of Alamo, except for those grandfathered in or any areas that later became part of the town due to the expansion of city limits.

The meeting begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Pioche County Courthouse, 181 Main St.
