NTSB Releases Report on Fatal Reno Air Race Crash

NEVADA – The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has published its findings on the tragic crash at the Reno Air Races, which claimed the lives of two pilots. According to the NTSB report, a witness observed the collision of two World War II-era planes mid-air.

The incident occurred immediately after the planes had completed their race, with the first and second-place winners colliding during their final descent. The NTSB’s investigation reveals that the debris field from the crash extended approximately 1,400 feet. Notably, one of the plane’s wings was discovered 30 feet away from the primary wreckage site.
