Pahrump Man Arrested, Charged with Animal Cruelty and Failure to Dispose of a Dead Dog

NEVADA – Deputies from the Nye County Sheriff’s Office arrested Apolonio Aniceto, 85, of Pahrump, in connection with the dumping and subsequent death of a dog on the local rubbish dump.
According to deputies, the extremely dehydrated bulldog was located at the landfill on Christmas Eve. Despite veterinarians’ best attempts, the dog died later that day.
Aniceto was booked into the Nye County Detention Center on the accusation of felony animal mistreatment after being left for dead at a dump outside Las Vegas. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Aniceto has been apprehended thanks to public tips.
