NEVADA – The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office sprang into action on Saturday morning to rescue two passengers who were involved in a plane crash at Lake Tahoe. The incident occurred at around 10:18 a.m. when authorities received a distress call reporting a fixed-wing airplane crashing into the water at Rubicon Bay.
Upon arrival, the Sheriff’s Office discovered that one of the passengers had sustained a serious head injury. Efforts were immediately initiated to provide medical assistance and ensure the safety of all individuals involved.
As the plane submerged beneath the surface, authorities are closely monitoring its location for potential hazardous material (HAZMAT) concerns. The focus remains on securing the area and taking necessary precautions to mitigate any potential risks.
