Reno Airline Flights Had Some Issues on Christmas Day but Not Many as on Christmas Eve

RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – CHRISTMAS DAY: Holiday traffic seemed to be moving more smoothly on Christmas Day than on Christmas Eve at Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
Two aircraft landed more than 20 minutes late in Reno as of 11 a.m., and eight more were slated to arrive at least a half hour late later that day. Southwest Airlines had one cancellation for both arrival and departure.
On Christmas Day, seven planes are at least a half-hour delayed.
FlightAware recorded 33 aircraft delayed out of Reno International Airport on Saturday, compared to 25 on Sunday. On Saturday, 14 flights were canceled at the Reno airport, compared to seven on Sunday.
According to FlightAware, 11,363 flights were delayed in the United States on Sunday, compared to 18,966 flights on Saturday.
ORIGINAL STORY: Reno-Tahoe International Airport is clean on Christmas Eve, but storms and winds in other parts of the country disrupt flights.
As of 10 a.m., 13 planes were delayed from 30 minutes to several hours. An Alaskan Airlines aircraft from Portland that was scheduled to arrive at 8:43 a.m. was delayed until 1:18 p.m.
Southwest Airlines Flight 1010 from Phoenix was scheduled to arrive at 10:10 a.m. As of 10 a.m., it was the lone cancellation of the day.
At 10:55 a.m., a Southwest Airlines aircraft from Reno to Long Beach took off. A 9 a.m. flight was also canceled. Flight from New York to Phoenix on American Airlines. As of 10 a.m., 13 Reno departures were also delayed.
