RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – Classes in the region are experiencing delays and cancellations once more due to the winter weather.
The Washoe County School District has announced that all classes and on-campus activities would be canceled for Thursday for valley schools. However, remote learning will still be an option for Incline Village students.
The Lion and Lamb Christian School and Mater Academy are both announcing that classes have been canceled for the day, along with Washoe County schools.
Northern Nevada’s Pinecrest Academy will be open with a two-hour delay. Buses won’t be available to transport children to school since Washoe County has closed its schools.
All schools in the district will be in session two hours later than usual, according to Storey County.
The postponement for Thursday’s in-person classes has been announced by Truckee Meadows Community College. All physical sites, including the Child Care Center, will now open at 10:00 am instead of 9:00 am. due to anticipated dangerous driving conditions. Prior to that time, no in-person sessions will be held; however, online learning will go through as planned.
