Sheriff Says Two Teens Injured in Carson City Shooting

NEVADA – Two teens were brought to the hospital in Carson City with gunshot wounds. The incident occurred at 7 p.m. on Tuesday near Carmine Street and Airport Road.
One of the victims was shot in the face and was airlifted to Renown Medical Center in critical condition. The other was shot in the legs and is in unknown condition.
According to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong, the incident occurred behind one of the local businesses. Both victims, however, were discovered in different locations.
Carmine is closed all the way up to Concord.
The Sheriff’s Office has not identified a suspect and believes this is a one-time occurrence.
Investigators are questioning witnesses and reviewing video evidence collected by some neighbors.
School Resource Officers were also present due of the victim’s age.
Furlong explained to KOLO8 News One of the victims is now a resident of Lyon County.
