
Sparks Police Department Has Announced Road Restrictions for the Annual Turkey Trot

RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – Thanksgiving Day at 8:30 a.m., the 24th annual Turkey Trot is scheduled to take place, and the Sparks Police Department is blocking roadways to make room for it.
6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. These streets will be impacted by temporary closures, lane restrictions, and/or race participants on the roadway between 10 a.m. and noon:
- Southbound Sparks Bl @ Baring Bl;
- Sparks Bl @ O’Callaghan Dr;
- Sparks Bl @ E. Prater Wy;
- Sparks Bl @ E. Lincoln Wy;
- Lillard Dr @ Brierley Wy; and
- Boxington Wy between Lillard Dr and E. Lincoln Wy.
There will also be a short-term impact on residents’ and businesses’ access in this area. Sparks PD advises anybody driving in the vicinity to seek alternate routes and to expect delays.
