Suspect Arrested for Attempted Murder and Mayhem in Plumas County Stabbing Incident

NEVADA – In the early hours of Sunday, June 18, the Plumas County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center received a distressing call reporting a person screaming for help and possibly covered in blood due to a stabbing incident at the Claremont Court Duplexes. Promptly responding to the call, deputies arrived at the scene to find a victim with severe life-threatening injuries and immediately administered emergency medical treatment.
Medical personnel swiftly arrived at the location and decided to airlift the injured victim to a specialized hospital outside the area for further treatment. The victim’s condition remains critical.
The diligent efforts of the deputies led to the prompt identification of a suspect in the case. Cole Adam, a 20-year-old resident of Quincy, was swiftly apprehended without any resistance after being summoned out of his apartment.
Following the arrest, Cole Adam was transported to the Plumas County Correctional Center and subsequently booked on charges of attempted murder and mayhem. The bail has been set at $500,000.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and authorities are working diligently to gather additional evidence and information related to the case. Updates will be provided as new details emerge.
