RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – From 10 p.m. on Friday until 4 a.m. on Monday, the mountains are under a winter storm warning.
Heavy snow is expected to fall along our mountain passes by Saturday morning, resulting in chain restrictions, whiteout conditions, and possibly road closures; travel is not recommended.
By Monday morning, 3 to 4 feet of snow might fall around our ski resorts.
Rain showers in our valleys will change to snow showers by Sunday morning, with 1 to 3″ expected around town. This weekend, expect icy roads, gusting gusts, and cooler temperatures.
By Monday afternoon, the road conditions will have improved.
