NEVADA – A camp trailer fire in Elburz on Tuesday night killed a woman and hurt a man.
Elko County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene about 18 miles east of Elko just after 9 p.m. because there was a fire in a building. A man and a woman were living in a camp trailer that they found.
“When the deputies got there, the camp trailer was on fire all the way through,” the sheriff’s office said. “The man on the scene said that a woman was in the trailer and couldn’t get out because of the fire.”
Elko County Fire Protection District and Elko County Ambulance workers arrived soon after the deputies. The people in the ambulance started taking care of the man right away to treat his injuries.
The fire was put out by firefighters, but the woman did not make it. The man was taken to a burn unit in Utah by EMS.
