LAS VEGAS, NV — A commercial truck driver has died following a violent midday semitractor-trailer rollover on an interstate interchange in the southeast Las Vegas Valley.

The incident triggered a hard closure of a major transit connector, causing significant ripple effects throughout the afternoon commuter grid.

The Roll and Wreckage at the Interchange

According to active incident logs published by the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP), emergency dispatch teams and state troopers rushed to the northbound Interstate 11 on-ramp at Boulder Highway at approximately 11:49 AM.

First responders arriving on the scene discovered a massive commercial transport truck completely overturned on its side along the sweeping curve of the ramp structure. NHP emergency extraction crews worked efficiently to pull the driver from the mangled cab of the semi. The driver was loaded into a waiting ambulance and rushed under emergency protocols to a nearby hospital.

Despite intensive emergency interventions by medical personnel, the driver succumbed to severe trauma sustained in the crash and was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.

Extended Commuter Gridlock Enacted

The identity of the deceased driver has been withheld pending formal validation and notification of immediate next of kin by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

State troopers immediately closed the on-ramp, setting up a strict perimeter that rerouted traffic away from the immediate interchange corridor. NHP confirmed that the hard closure would remain firmly in place for an extended period into the evening to allow specialized heavy-duty wreckers to execute the complicated process of uprighting the rig and clearing its displaced commercial cargo load from the asphalt.

Commuters were strongly urged to bypass the intersection entirely and seek alternate north-south secondary routes across Henderson and the southeast valley to avoid severe multi-mile congestion.
