LAS VEGAS, NV — The Boring Company’s underground transit system achieved a major North Strip expansion milestone on Thursday, August 6, with the official opening of a new Vegas Loop station at Sahara Las Vegas.

The surface-level station marks the northernmost extension of the active Loop network along Las Vegas Boulevard, providing direct zero-emission subterranean transit between the North Strip and the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Dual Monorail and Vegas Loop Connectivity

Located at Sahara’s Paradise Road entrance on the east side of the resort property, the new station allows passengers to board Tesla vehicles traveling through dedicated underground tunnels.

With the launch, Sahara Las Vegas joins the Westgate as the only two resort properties along the resort corridor to offer guests access to both the Vegas Loop and the Las Vegas Monorail.

Expanding Transit Infrastructure for North Strip Resorts

Sahara executives confirmed the station will operate daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with hours expanding during major convention sequences and arena events.

“The resort offers guests two convenient public transportation options for exploring the Strip and beyond,” Sahara Las Vegas leadership noted in a Thursday statement.

While tunneling permits north of Sahara Avenue remain under administrative review by the City of Las Vegas, the opening strengthens transit connectivity for convention attendees and visitors along the North Strip corridor.
