Recipients are directed to submit payment via wire transfer, peer-to-peer payment platforms, or cryptocurrency—payment methods never accepted by Clark County government departments.

The fraudulent emails originate from commercial webmail domains such as @usa.com. Clark County explicitly confirmed that addresses such as clarkcountynv.gov@usa.com are fraudulent and completely disconnected from county network infrastructure.
