Two Sex Offenders Face Criminal Charges in “Operation Hocus Pocus.”
In ‘Operation Hocus Pocus,’ which took place in the days leading up to Halloween, two sex offenders were apprehended and now face criminal charges.
The purpose of the operation, according to the sheriff’s department, was to have more Home Verification checks performed on convicted sex offenders in advance of Halloween.
A total of 236 Registered Sex Offenders were contacted by the Regional Sex Offender Notification Unit and the Nevada State Police Parole and Probation to ensure their compliance.
Two sexual offenders were apprehended, but their identities were withheld.
