Walmart Shoplifter Loaded Her Cart With Stolen Goods While Carrying a Gun

LAS VEGAS – According to authorities, a lady who loaded her Walmart shopping cart with items to steal was caught on security camera brandishing a revolver in her right hand while pushing the loaded cart toward the store’s entrance.

When approached by a Walmart employee, Makenna Findley, 21, pointed the silver revolver at the 61-year-old employee and fired a shot into the ceiling, according to an arrest complaint.

Findley, of Las Vegas, then fled the southeast Las Vegas store and loaded the stolen products into the trunk of a Honda driven by Juan Cabrera, her boyfriend, according to the arrest report. According to the arrest report, there was another person in the car who police have yet to identify.

The incident occurred on Nov. 14 at 9:55 p.m. at the Walmart at 5198 Boulder Highway and South Nellis Boulevard.

It wasn’t Findley’s first time robbing a neighborhood store, nor was it her first time discharging a gun during a heist, according to authorities.

According to police, this past weekend, Metro officers went to a domestic violence incident at a trailer in a trailer park on South Lamb Boulevard south of East Sahara Avenue, with Findley reporting Cabrera assault.

Findley was wanted by Metro’s commercial robbery division, and detectives from that unit were dispatched to the trailer. Findley and Cabrera were taken into custody.

According to court documents, the two are facing a slew of counts, including robbery with a deadly weapon on an elderly victim.

Findley and Cabrera remained in jail, with their next court appearance scheduled for December 14, according to court records.
