
Total RSV Cases in Carson City Douglas and Lyon Counties Are 225

CARSON CITY, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – 49 RSV cases have been reported by Carson City Health and Human Services between November 27 and December 3 in Carson City, Douglas, and Lyon Counties, increasing the total number of cases since the start of October to 225.
The number of cases reported to CCHHS is approximately 7% higher this year compared to the same timeframe previous year.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, RSV is a common respiratory virus that often causes mild, cold-like symptoms. Most individuals recover in a week or two, but RSV can be dangerous, especially in newborns and the elderly.
